Every year since 1986, the Foundation has commemorated the anniversary
of Gandhi's birth with a garlanding ceremony. Since 1987, the ceremony
has been followed by a banquet attended by some 300 people. The
banquet program includes addresses from one or more prominent individuals
on topics related to the relevance of Gandhi's message to the world
