Youth Conference 2011
The Mahatma Gandhi Canadian Foundation for World Peace is
currently in the process of planning its annual youth
conference. This year the Foundation is fortunate to collaborate
with Strathcona High School to host the event. We are very much
looking forward to this partnership.
The Youth Conference will take place Monday, October 3, 2011 at
Strathcona High School, Edmonton from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The
theme of this year’s interdisciplinary conference is ‘legacy’
and will build upon the ideals of peace and non-violence. Our
keynote speaker will be Alex Neve, Secretary General, Amnesty
International Canada. We hope that conference attendees will be
inspired to assume leadership for organizing and working towards
peace in our community and our world.
